Rockwell Automation - Allyship
The Challenge
Rockwell Automation wanted to strengthen allyship across its EMEA workforce in a way that reflected the diversity of its people and the complexity of its global organisation. Rather than focusing on one demographic or protected characteristic, they wanted colleagues to understand allyship as an everyday behaviour that supports anyone experiencing barriers to inclusion.
The programme needed to resonate with employees across multiple countries, cultures, and job roles, whilst carefully reflecting Rockwell’s inclusive language, legal requirements and global compliance standards. The aim was to move beyond awareness by giving employees practical skills and confidence to recognise bias, challenge inappropriate behaviours respectfully and actively support colleagues in a multicultural workplace.
Our Solution
Enact designed and delivered a 90-minute virtual experiential learning workshop for a cross-functional audience of Rockwell Automation employees across the EMEA region, including colleagues from plant, technical, commercial, and corporate functions.
The session combined realistic workplace scenarios performed by professional actors with facilitated discussion, live audience polling and interactive polling theatre. Participants explored three relatable workplace situations covering wellbeing and emotional support, gender and language bias, and neurodiversity, before influencing the direction of each scenario and seeing the impact of different allyship approaches in real time.
Throughout the session, delegates were introduced to a range of practical allyship roles, including Confidant, Amplifier, Sponsor, Scholar and Upstander, helping them understand that allyship can take many forms depending on the situation and individual needs.
