IDEXX - Leadership Suite
Interpersonal Skills for Leaders
The Challenge
IDEXX wanted to strengthen the interpersonal skills of its frontline leaders, helping them become more emotionally intelligent, self-aware and confident when leading people through day-to-day leadership challenges.
The aim was to equip leaders with practical tools to build trust, navigate difficult conversations, manage emotions under pressure and create high-performing teams through effective leadership behaviours.
Our Solution
Enact delivered a full-day experiential leadership workshop using our Leadership Suite methodology, combining specialist facilitation, professional actors and realistic interactive workplace scenarios.
The programme explored emotional intelligence and self-awareness, leadership impact, emotional agility, empathy and active listening, giving feedback, managing conflict, building rapport and practical communication tools.
Throughout the day, leaders analysed realistic workplace situations before putting their learning into practice through Enact techniques such as Real Play. Unlike traditional role play, participants remain themselves while interacting with professional actors, allowing them to practise real conversations in a safe, supportive environment with expert coaching and feedback.
The Impact
The workshop equipped leaders with practical tools and the confidence to lead with greater self-awareness, communicate more effectively and handle challenging conversations with confidence.
Perhaps most tellingly, before the workshop nearly four in five leaders admitted they had avoided a difficult conversation at work. By the end of the day, every delegate said they had gained practical tools to help them approach these conversations with greater confidence.
