Laing O’Rourke – Challenging Sexual Harassment
The Challenge
To ensure leaders across the business understand they have a duty to proactively take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment and support anyone experiencing it. The session is to align with Laing O’Rourke’s commitment that it is everyone’s responsibility to bring about change. This important message needs to be impactful for 180 senior leaders at their annual Europe Leaders Network conference to support changes to the legislation for the Worker Protection Act.
Our Solution
Enact delivered a powerful experiential learning session bringing to life the impact of consequences of not speaking up or taking action. The delegates then practiced ‘moments of challenge’ to upskill their confidence in creating psychological safety. Exploring better practice techniques for actively supporting someone experiencing sexual harassment and exploring steps they need to take for prevention of sexual harassment in their organisation.
The powerful and interactive session explored:
- What does it look like?
- What must you do?
- What will you do to help one another?
At the end of the session, leaders were clear on:
- What they expect of each other
- Their first step – a commitment to action
- Where to go for more support
