Showcasing drama-based training on challenging unconscious & conscious bias
What it’s all about
We were delighted to have recently delivered multiple sessions on Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Management for a leading practice-informed teaching and research University. We’re offering a free opportunity for you to see how Enact Solutions helped managers in this organisation to create a more inclusive working environment.
In this 3 hour session, we’ll demonstrate examples of our innovative, digital and live, drama based experiential sessions to both recognise the facts of human bias and take practical steps to counter it and build an inclusive workplace.
As ever, our focus is on making a real difference. This is a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand the impact of our approach.
A drama-based workshop
Our tried and tested approach utilises a dynamic blend of live drama with professional actors (they play roles, so delegates don’t have to), multimedia filmed resources, electronic voting systems (measuring success), and highly skilled facilitation. It’s a highly interactive, powerful way to explore behaviours and will be of interest to anyone within Human Resources or Learning & Development roles, whatever the sector.
Learning and development
This showcase ‘taster’ session provides an insight into how we work with delegates in our workshops to:
- Have a better understanding of what unconscious bias is
- Be able to recognise how unconscious bias might manifest in different situations
- Learn steps to take to challenge manifestations of bias (both conscious and unconscious) such as unacceptable language or behaviour
- Identify ways in which the likelihood of bias can be managed and reduced through effective policies and practices
- Be equipped to create a more inclusive workplace
It’s free. But don’t hang about as places are limited and will be booked on a first come, first served basis. (Please note, due to demand and administration costs, there will be a £99 plus VAT charge for cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to the event.)
The event will run from 9.30am till 12.30pm (refreshments and registration from 9.15am) on 20th April 2016 at the offices of Lifetime Learning, Angel House, 225 Marsh Wall, London E14 9FW.
It goes without saying, we’d be delighted to see you there.
