Transforming Mental Health at Work: Cambridge

Showcasing drama-based training on increasing understanding of mental health in the workplace

In any year one in four of us experiences a mental health problem. Yet three quarters of the people with mental health problems receive no treatment… we have opportunities to do far more to prevent problems occurring, to step in early or to sustain recovery. These opportunities too often are not taken but we believe that, with the right understanding, they will be and that the result will be transformative.

Make a difference

At Enact Solutions, we’ve been working with far-sighted clients who want to achieve the kind of transformative change Jenny Edwards envisages. Clients whose goal is for all of their employees to understand more about mental health problems; to know how common they are, what signs to look out for, and what they can do to make a positive difference. To their immense credit, these clients are actively building workplaces where difficult, personal issues can be discussed openly, where stigmas are broken down, and where nobody need suffer in silence. We’re excited and honoured to play a part in their story.

A limited opportunity

This September, we’re offering an excellent opportunity for a limited number of people to experience and learn all about the exciting work developed with one such progressive client. We have just 15 places available to experience the dramatic, true-to-life content we co-created for this client’s employee learning and development workshop on mental health.

On the day

Learn how we blend dramatised, realistic workplace scenarios, delivered by professional actors, with digital content, interactive exercises, electronic polling, and expert facilitation to:

  • Enhance employees’ understanding of mental health issues;
  • Break down stigmas (the ‘elephant in the room’);
  • Promote awareness of an organisational mental health programme; and
  • Highlight support mechanisms.

If you also want to make progress on mental health issues in your organisation, we invite you to come meet us and learn more about what we are doing with our clients.

Count me in

As this is important work we’re really proud of, with benefits we want to see spread, we’re spreading the word by putting on a free ‘showcase’ session on 23 September 2016 at the Holiday Inn Cambridge, Lakeview, Bridge Road, Cambridge, CB24 9PH.

Even though there is no charge for the session, we ask that you don’t book lightly as spaces are limited and others will definitely miss out. Should you have to cancel for unavoidable reasons, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible before the event so that we can offer your place to people on the waiting list.

The event starts at 10am (refreshments and registration from 9.45am) and will run until 12.30pm. As well as experiencing selected content from our Mental Health workshops there will be plenty of time to meet the team behind it so you can ask any questions you might have.

Register now for one of the 15 places.
